New CDF to be sworn in
President William Ruto will preside over the swearing-in and investiture of ranks to newly appointed Chief of Defence Forces General Charles Kahariri.
General Kahariri was appointed Thursday in a statement issued by the Ministry of Defence.
He is set to fill the shoes left by the late Francis Ogolla who perished in an air accident.
Also to be sworn in is the new Vice Chief of Defence Forces General Omenda among other Service Commanders.
The ceremony will be held at State House, Nairobi.
Flood victims
First Lady Rachel Ruto is expected to visit flood victims in the Thika East sub-county at Kilimambogo Teacher Training College.
The event is scheduled for 11 am.
