Nondies will battle for a semifinal berth when the Enterprise Cup starts on Saturday, coach Callum Oliver has said.

Oliver believes they can go better than in the Kenya Cup, where they reached the semis, falling to eventual champions Kabras 37-6.

However, the record Enterprise winners must improve on their set piece and conditioning to challenge the top teams.

“I believe we have a good chance of making it to the semis. If all things remain constant, there's a possible rematch with Kabras in the semifinals," said Oliver.

"We will have to improve our setpiece — scrum and lineout. Our conditioning must be top-notch to enable us to play the 80 minutes, not 20 or 40."

Oliver has urged his charges to finish the 15s season on a  high.

“It's been a remarkable season. Nobody expected us to be in the Kenya Cup semifinals, especially coming from the championship. I want us to carry the momentum into the Enterprise Cup,” added Oliver.

With the Super Series expected to start in the next fortnight, Oliver will rotate the squad.

They are already without Ben Salem, who is training with the national Sevens side, Shujaa, ahead of next month's Challenger Seven Series leg in Munich, Germany.

“We have to see who is available for this tournament and look at giving the fringe players a chance to showcase their talent,” added Oliver.
