The One Kenya Alliance appears to have disintegrated after one of the signatories to the deal joined Deputy President William Ruto's Kenya Kwanza coalition.

The Farmers Party led by Irungu Nyakera has ditched the alliance and was received by Ruto at his Karen residence.

Nyakera was among the principal signatories to the OKA deal on March 11. He said they want to be where their people are.

"Your excellency our people are with you," Nyakera said.

Nyakera made the move hours before Narc Kenya Party leader Martha Karua, another Oka principal, also signed a deal with Azimio la Umoja.

The Oka parties, including Wiper and Kanu, have signed a deal with Azimio as individual parties.

This means the existence of Oka as a legal entity remains doubtful.

At the press conference, Ruto announced that Kadu-Asili had also joined his Kenya Kwanza team.
