Nairobi, Kiambu to experience power interruption Thursday

Kenya Power said interruptions will be effected between 8.30am and 5pm in select areas.

Kenya Power has scheduled power interruption on Thursday in select areas in Nairobi and Kiambu counties.

In a notice posted Wednesday evening, Kenya Power said the interruptions will be effected at diverse times between 8.30am and 5pm in select areas in the two counties.

It said this is to facilitate system maintenance by its engineers.

Areas to be affected in Nairobi include Dandora Phase 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, parts of Councillor, Opundo Road, Gitare, Marigo, part of Lucky Summer estate, Kogocho and adjacent customers.

Parts of Kiambu that will go without power during the scheduled period include Murera Coffee, whole of Mugutha, Toll Station, Ruiru Golf Club and Shell Toll station.

Customers around Courtesy Beach, Titanic, Green Ridge, Mugutha Secondary, Murera Primary, Tumaini Catholic Church, Mugutha One Four will also be affected, Kenya Power said.

It added that Mukuyu Road, Judea East, PCEA, Mugutha Police, Neema East, River Line East, Dam Ridge East, Ruera Dam, Makaburi Village, Wakariuki, Apollos, Behind Spur Mall and adjacent customers will also be affected.

Others are Guango, Nguruwe, Muchatha, Kigwaru and adjacent customers.
