Huawei Kenya takes strides in empowering youth at Eldoret City Marathon

Huawei Kenya showcased its commitment to cultivating talent and contributing to the growth of the youth by participating in the Eldoret City Marathon 2024.

Huawei Kenya Media Relations Manager Khadija Mohammed said their participation came from their realization that nurturing the next generation of leaders and innovators is paramount.

Through initiatives like participating in the Eldoret City Marathon, Khadija said they are dedicated to empowering youth and supporting them to stay away from vices like drugs and other harmful social habits.

"Participating in events like the Eldoret City Marathon is not just about showcasing our brand or athleticism; it's about investing in the future of Kenya," said 

"We believe in the power of sports to inspire and empower young people, and through our involvement, we aim to contribute to their personal growth while making a positive impact on society."

National Assembly Deputy Speaker  Gladys Shollei expressed her appreciation for the support received from Huawei towards the Eldoret City Marathon.

Moses Tanui, Race Director and founder, noted that it’s an honour to have Huawei as a partner of the marathon.

"We appreciate the efficiency of Huawei wearables, especially towards monitoring healthy living, " he said adding that uses a Huawei smartwatch.

Khadija added that Healthy living is at the heart of Huawei's innovation and that  Huawei wearables help one track their daily activities and support them to stay active and healthy.

"In addition, Huawei wearables provide a state-of-the-art modern style that makes them easy to wear and pair up with most outfits," She said.

The Eldoret City Marathon, renowned for its competitive spirit and community engagement, provided an ideal platform for Huawei Kenya to showcase its values and commitment to the youth of Kenya.
