News anchor Victoria Rubadiri is set to leave Citizen TV after six years.
Her departure was announced on Sunday by the Royal Media Services (RMS) Group Editorial Director Linus Kaikai.
Kaikai said that while it was sad that she was leaving, but he remains proud of the work she has done at Citizen TV.
"We nicknamed #SundayLive the ‘American Edition’ because this pair rolls Uncle Sam’s tongue just right! Sadly but proudly, Vicky Rubadiri proceeds to her next duty station after 6 years with Citizen TV Kenya," Kaikai said on X.
Rubadiri joined Citizen TV from the Nation Media Group in 2018.
While at Citizen TV she won the coveted Komla Dumor award which saw her briefly relocate to London, where she worked with the BBC for three months.
Winners of the award have to undertake a three-month training with the BBC.
Rubadiri becomes the latest high profile news anchor to quit Citizen TV.
Last year, Waihiga Mwaura, also a winner of the Komla Dumor, who joined the British Broadcast Corporation (BBC) as a senior news anchor for the Focus on Africa programme.
Then Senior Political Editor Francis Gachuri also left to work with the Ministry of Interior and National Administration.
This year, senior reporters Chemutai Goin and and Hassan MUgambi also left to work with the National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula and the Ministry of Defence, respectively.
