Cotu Kenya Secretary General Francis Atwoli has assured the attendees of the Labour Day celebrations that it will not rain as they mark the workers event.

Speaking during the celebrations at Uhuru Gardens, said Kuppet Chairman, who is also Emuhaya MP, Omboka Milemba had been deployed to his relatives to have the rain stopped to allow the celebrations to continue.

"I want to tell all of you who have assembled here mvua haitanyesha kwa sababu kule nakotoka wana uwezo wa kusimamisha mvua tukiwa na sherehe kama ya leo," Atwoli said.

"Hiyo kazi imeanza kufanywa. Tulituma mmoja wetu Omboka Milemba kwa sababu grandfathers wake ndo wana uwezo wa kusimamisha mvua."

Loosely translates to "I want to assure you that it is not going to rain here. We come from an area where we stop rain when we have big events such as this. That work is on course. We sent one of us Omboka Milemba because his grandfathers have the powers to do so".
