Internews 30th Anniversary cocktail


It was a joyous evening as Internews Kenya celebrated 30 years of fostering the development of local media in more than 70 countries.The event was held at their offices at I & M building last week on Monday evening.
Internews CEO David Creekmore
said that in the 30 years since its inception, the organisation has
been instrumental in the adoption of new technologies championing the
new voices in support of media projects around the world.
Internews Kenya Country Director Ida Jooste highlighted the organisations achievements over the years, proud that “Internews
in Kenya has trained journalists to produce more credible, more
sensitive, more engaging stories in the Kenyan media”.
Apart
from Health Journalism, Internews also trains journalists on
democracy and governance reporting and are currently in partnership
with the Media Council of Kenya on advocating for Guidelines for Election Coverage and free and fair media.
