A woman has moved to the High Court in Nairobi claiming that the late Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo is the father of her son.
The woman has asked the court to conduct a DNA test to prove that Kilonzo fathered her seven year old child. She also wants her child to receive part of the inheritance from Mutula's estate. She claims that she and the late Makueni senator had an affair between 2005 and 2008. She became pregnant in 2006.
Mutula was found dead in his Maanzoni home on Saturday, April 2007. Police yesterday finalised a report which ruled out foul play in his death.
An official post mortem report is expected in seven to nine weeks after specimens have been subjected to thorough tests. If necessary, some may be flown out of the country, according to family sources. The official post mortem was done on Tuesday last week by government pathologist, Dr Johansen Oduor, British pathologist Dr Ian Madison Calder and five others in the presence of Dr Luke Musau and Dr Emily Rogena.
