Microsoft launches cloud services
Microsoft's Corporation has launched its Office 365 cloud based computing service in Kenya. The product eliminates the need for users to invest in servers and costs of acquiring professional services to set up web services because users can to set up their own systems without the need for web designers or information technology experts.
Office 365 is a per user/per month subscription service with costs ranging between $4 and $20 for each user and offers number of plan and service options. Office 365 brings together Microsoft Office, Microsoft SharePoint Online, Microsoft Exchange Online and Microsoft Lync Online in a for ease of management and was launched with a free 30 day trial period locally. The Office 365 for small businesses, professionals and small businesses can be set up and running with Office Web Applications, Microsoft Exchange Online, Microsoft SharePoint Online, Microsoft Lync Online and an external website in just 15 minutes, for $6 (Sh500) per user, per month
