Wednesday night brought together a group of learned friends to celebrate the 110th anniversary of the prestigious law firm Hamilton Harrison & Mathews Advocates.

The glamorous function held at the Sankara Nairobi Hotel was attended by the Chief Justice Willy Mutunga who told the crowd that the firm held dear memories for him as it molded the foundation for his career. "This is a respected firm and I am happy for all the partners and clients, for the achieving this milestone" he said. More so, the law firm has had several high flying individuals practice their trade within their doors namely Humphrey Slade (who was a former speaker of the Kenyan National Assembly), Gerald Harris and Jo Nyamu (both of them who ended up as Kenya High Court judges).

HHM is one of the oldest and largest law firms in Kenya with nine partners and 17 qualified associates as well as several para-legal and legal clerical staff most of whom attended the party as well as businessman Jimnah Mbaru. The law firm has provided a wide range of legal services to an extensive high end client base ranging from multinational companies, governments, Kenyan and foreign banks and financial institutions and individuals.

Others who attended the party and have been recognised as leading lawyers in Kenya in their ares of practice, included Ken Fraser, Richard Omwela, Kiragu Kimani, Paras Shah and Michi Kirimi.
