Safaricom yesterday awarded the second group of winners in the ongoing bonyeza ushinde competition which coincided with its 12th anniversary. The four winners were each presented with a Sh1 million cheque by Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore.
“The heart of our operation as a company is a constant desire to change lives and just by looking at the reaction of our winners one can tell we have made a big impact in their lives,”said Collymore.
A tea hawker Ruth Wambui , a farmer Christine Okune , a construction worker Stephen Gathunju and David Kioko who is unemployed are the current millionaires courtsey of Safaricom.
The competition has been going since October16 and and so far 6 customers have won Sh1 million with second lot of three winners to be announced next week. The grand prize is Sh10 million.
