KNH to dispose unclaimed bodies in seven days

The Kenyatta National Hospital will dispose unclaimed bodies from its morgue in the next seven days. 

The hospital said it has several unclaimed bodies at its Farewell Home. 

The announcement came out on Tuesday with the hospital saying it is only acting in compliance with Public Health Act Cap 242 Subsidiary legislation Public Health Public Mortuaries rules, 1991. 

"Interested members of the public are therefore requested to identify and collect the bodies within seven days, failure to which the hospital will seek authority from the courts to dispose them," the hospital said. 

The hospital said those who wish to access the list of unclaimed bodies can find it available at the KHN Farewell Home.
