Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has referred to her wife as his pillar and the bond holding their family together as he celebrated her birthday on Wednesday.
He commended Pastor Dorcas Rigathi for her vision of a dignified future for vulnerable populations.
"Happy birthday my love, you have been my pillar of strength and the bond that holds our family together. The nation appreciates your immense contribution particularly in dignifying the boychild. Wishing you God's blessings on your special day," he said.
The Second Lady has always had her main focus groups to be the boychild, orphans, widows, and persons with disabilities.
DP Gachagua once confessed that he first met his wife while she was a student at Alliance Girls High School.
“Mimi niliingia kwa hio Alliance, nikachanganya mtoto wa wenyewe nikaweka box na sasa ni bibi yangu," he said.
He said they have been together for 35 years since and they are blessed with two sons, Kelvin Rigathi and Keith Rigathi.
To also mark her birthday, the Second Lady said she was grateful to God and Kenyans for the opportunity to serve.
She said she was full of gratitude, celebrating another year of life and for the experiences that the Lord has granted her.
Pastor Dorcas posted a picture of her praying in church.
"Because God saw it fit for the community of Ndunyu ya Chege, Gatanga Constituency to be my place of birth and the home where I spent my childhood years, it is my joy to celebrate this birthday by offering a free medical camp," she said.
Last year, she celebrated her birthday at an elegant event.
She was also celebrated by her two sons Kevin and Keith, family members and friends.
Pastor Dorcas was gifted a two-tier cake decorated in purple and white cream with gold ribbons on each layer.
