Rachel Ruto to launch the ENOUGH Campaign-Kenya

First Lady Rachel Ruto will preside over the launch of the Enough Campaign-Kenya.

This is a campaign by the World Vision aimed at eradicating child hunger and improving the nutritional status of children in Kenya.

The event will take place at World Vision Kenya's national office, Karen.

According to World Vision, children are bearing the brunt of an unequal food system disrupted by conflicts and climate change.

Every child deserves the food they need to develop a healthy body and mind, it says.

Doctor's strike

The government and doctors are today expected to sign a draft return-to-work agreement.

On Monday, the government gave the striking doctors until today to conclude their discussions and give a way forward to the ongoing industrial action.

Head of Public Service Felix Koskei who is steering the 'Whole of Nation Approach Committee' said negotiations they have been having have already achieved 96 per cent of the desired outcome.

David Gakuyo case

Televangelist David Ngari alias Gakuyo will be back in court today for pretrial directions in a case where he is charged with Sh1.3 billion fraud.

Gakuyo was in February charged with conspiracy to commit a felony and 12 counts of obtaining money by false pretence.

He denied all the charges and was granted Sh100 million bail with an alternative bond of Sh200 million with two contact persons.

Milimani principal magistrate Ben Mark Ekhubi had also directed Gakuyo to deposit his passport in court and not interfere with investigations.

The charge sheet showed that Gakuyo allegedly conspired to steal Sh1,052,746.094 from Ekeza Sacco members between 2015 and 2018.
