Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology blanked Kenyatta University 39-28 in a Kenya Basketball League clash at Nyayo Stadium gymnasium on Wednesday afternoon.

The Juja-based students got off to a 13-9 advantage in the first quarter and hanged on  23-11 as the teams went for a breather.

The losers faired better in the third quarter to trail 11-8 and changed the tide at 9-5 in the deciding stanza.

"We got off to a good start and didn't look back. Our win against ANU last week seems to have given us the momentum," said Jkuat Coach Mary Chepkoi.

"It is a good result for us as we have two days to rest before we take on the University of Nairobi in another varsity clash on Sunday."

Diana Akjnyi scored a game-high 19 points for Lynx while Margaret Wambua added another eight.

Winless Oryx's charge was led by Berlin Muyaki and Nessy Atieno, who combined for 15 points.

In the Lower Division, Lynette Atieno buried 15 points as Safe Spaces defeated Strathmore 53-44.
