Have you ever been stuck with a leaking tap or a broken fridge, desperately looking for a reliable repairman?

Steve Ng'ang'a certainly was, and this frustration led to the birth of Balozy, an app transforming service delivery in Kenya.

Steve had just arrived back home in Kenya after a long stay in the United States when he experienced firsthand the hassle of finding reliable contractors for his parents' farm project in Nakuru.

From these struggles came a solution– Balozy, an all-in-one service delivery platform.

So he came up with Balozy a digital lifeline connecting homeowners and business owners with trusted and vetted local professionals for a couple of services.

The app has since acquired over 30 different categories of service providers ranging from mama fuas, electrical installations, plumbing, beauty treatments, or event planning to private chefs and barbers.

Since its inception, Balozy has been steadily growing and making waves in the digital market. The app has already clocked over 40,000 downloads in Nairobi alone and is expanding its reach to more counties across Kenya.

Available for download on both Google Playstore and Apple Store, Balozy aims to connect Kenyans with reliable service providers nationwide, Ng'ang'a notes.

"By leveraging digital transformation, Balozy simplifies the process of finding and hiring service providers. Users can connect with professionals through their mobile phones, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience," Balozy's Digital Marketing Strategist, Henry Mwangangi, noted.

According to Mwangangi, the app is not just about connecting clients with service providers, but creating opportunities and transforming lives.

"Our vision is to be the top online marketplace for service providers in Kenya, where any professional, regardless of their background, can sell their services to a broader audience."

"We live in tough economic times and people are out here scouting for any jobs available. Balozy shortens that gap and they are doing it for free,"  he added.

Their recent partnership with Eric Omondi's Sisi Kwa Sisi initiative has seen their rise in popularity among the common mwananchi.
