A twenty-eight-year-old man in Molo, Nakuru County, will have to pay a Sh100,000 bond after he was charged with stealing a pair of shoes and property worth Sh4,000.

The accused, Stanley Christopher, was arraigned at the Molo Law Court on Thursday after he was rescued from a mob justice incident by the police.

Christopher was brought before Principal Magistrate Rugut Kipyegon, where he denied the charges and was released on a bond of Sh100,000 and an alternative cash bail of Sh10,000.

The court heard that on the material day, police officers were on patrol in the area when they came across a mob claiming the accused person was stealing from members of the public.

Police officers rescued him from the wrath of the public, and he was escorted to the Molo police station.

Rugut adjourned the case and slated the hearing for October 1, 2024.
