Caetano now official Renault trucks distributor in Kenya

Caetano Kenya is now the official distributor of Renault Trucks in Kenya.

The partnership between Caetano and Renault Trucks was announced today during an unveil event held at Caetano Kenya’s showroom. The partnership is premised on strengthening Kenya’s heavy commercial vehicles industry and solidifying Renault Trucks’ customer base in this region.

Renault trucks also launched the all-new 13L engine truck, adding to the running fleet portfolio in Kenya. The new 13L engine trucks have a more powerful engine brake thus enhanced safety and a broader maximum torque range which enhances the trucks’ hill start performance.

Speaking at the event, Caetano Kenya Managing Director Pedro Campos noted that Caetano has enhanced its operations and tailor-made its workshop to meet the market’s customer needs.

“To handle the Renault Trucks franchise, Caetano Kenya has invested in new stock acquisitions, building a Renault Trucks’ workshop at our facility on Mombasa Road and setting up a strong aftersales division for high quality and efficient service delivery,” he said.

In his speech delivered by Eng. James Kung’u, Roads and Transport CS Kipchumba Murkomen expressed enthusiastic support for the ground-breaking partnership between Caetano Kenya and Renault Trucks.

On his part, Renault Trucks Vice President for Africa and LAPAC, Cyril Barrile, expressed optimism in the positive impact that the Renault Trucks franchise will have in the Kenyan transport industry.

“We are thrilled to reintroduce Renault Trucks to the Kenyan market after a short period of absence. We will offer a wide range of new and used trucks suitable for distribution and logistics companies, heavy construction, long distance transporters and other special uses," he said.
