President William Ruto on Sunday met with Djibouti President Ismail Omar.
Ruto who is out of the country to attend the 14th Ordinary Assembly of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) held talks with Omar.
During the visit, Kenya and Djibouti signed four memoranda of understanding between the two nations.
President William Ruto said they have signed an MoU to facilitate cooperation in the field of energy development.
Speaking on Sunday during a joint press conference with his Djibouti counterpart, Ruto said visa-free visits will have people-to-people interaction between the two countries.
He noted that this will also boost trade between the two countries.
The summit which is expected to take place on June 12, 2023, will mark the first IGAD summit since 2019.
