Muslim faithful on Wednesday convened for prayers to mark Eid al-Adha.

From the wee hours of the morning, Muslims were seen heading to mosques for prayers and celebrations.

Eid al-Adha is one of the most important occasions in the Islamic calendar observed by millions of Muslims around the world.

The celebration of Eid al Adha marks the end of the hajj.
