Business activities in the Nairobi Central Business District were slow on Wednesday with many shops closed.

It's fair to say most enterprises feared attacks or looting during much anticipated Azimio protests called by Opposition chief Raila Odinga.

Many parking spaces also remained unoccupied.

Raila said the anti-government demonstrations will go on for three days this week.

He said the demos will be held whether the government issues a permit or not.

Azimio la Umoja said due to requests from all sectors, the peaceful demos will be held on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

However, President William Ruto said he would use all means to stop the protests.

"Raila Odinga, I won't allow you to seek power on the back of the blood of Kenyans. I will stop you," he said.
