[PHOTOS] Kenyans participate in tree planting exercise

The national tree planting exercise has continued today in various parts of the country.

Environment Soipan Tuya has outlined the government's aim of having every adult plant at least 50 seedlings during the day, and 10 for every child.

The government's ambitious goal is to cultivate 15 billion trees in 10 years. 

Today's exercise is Kenya’s second National Tree Growing Day, following the inaugural ‘Green Holiday’ on November 13, 2023.

President William Ruto is expected to lead the national tree-planting drive from Murang'a County while his deputy Rigathi Gachagua will be in Samburu.
