[PHOTOS] President Ruto and DP Gachagua tour Meru

President William Ruto and his Deputy Rigathi Gachagua on Thursday toured Meru County on a working tour.

During the tour, the president and his deputy toured Mitunguu Technical Training Institute, the Meru Maziwa Millers processing plant and the 9th annual Dairy Farmers Field Day celebrations in Gitoro ASK grounds in Meru.

President Ruto delivered a bus to Mitunguu Technical Training Institute.

Among his passengers were his Deputy Rigathi Gachagua and Interior CS Kithure Kindiki and students from the institution.

President Ruto was seen personally driving the bus with his deputy and CS Kindiki among other government officials and students of the institute riding as passengers.

Ruto was also in attendance for the 9th annual Dairy Farmers Field Day celebrations in Gitoro ASK grounds in Meru where he spoke highly of supporting dairy farmers.

"We have demonstrated our commitment to supporting the dairy sector by allocating an additional Sh2 billion," he said.

"This funding will boost dairy cooperatives, ensuring they pay better prices and promptly, and enhance farmers' access to credit," he added.

Ruto also laid a foundation stone for the Meru Maziwa Millers that has a processing capacity of 12,000 tonnes a month.
