[PHOTOS] President Ruto, Kisii leaders hold fireside talk

President William Ruto on Tuesday held a fireside chat with a section of leaders at Kisii State Lodge.

The chat provided an opportunity for Kisii leaders to engage President Ruto on issues of development regarding the region.

Ruto has been in the region for a three-day development tour which is set to end on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Ruto oversaw the groundbreaking ceremony for a cancer Centre treatment facility on the outskirts of Kisii.

The project has been lying in limbo for years awaiting the completion of paperwork between the government and the lender.

It will cost Sh3 billion.

He also flagged off the construction of a key interchange at Daraja Mbili in Kisii town.

The interchange, once completed is billed as a game changer in the improving infrastructure in the region.

Kitutu Chache South MP Anthony Kibagendi said the interchange forms part of the final stages for the construction of the multi-billion Kisii - Ahero - Kisumu road and the Kisii - Rongo - Migori Highway.
