Pre-trial of Capital FM's Group Commercial Director Farida Idris Mohamed who is facing charges of threatening to kill her former lover will be mentioned on Monday.

DPP Noordin Haji had been given more time to supply evidence documents to Mohamed.

The media house director is said to have committed the offence through a series of threatening messages.

According to the prosecution, Farida sent her former lover messages on June 14, 2019, that he would eliminate him together with his current girlfriend Swarna.

Three injured after vehicle is hit by IED in Mandera

Three people were Sunday, May 14 injured when a public service vehicle they were traveling in ran over an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Mandera East.

The incident happened at Burta Ashaqa village in Karo location, police said adding the victims were rushed to the hospital.

Woman collapses and dies while in church

A woman collapsed and died while praying at a church in Nairobi.

The woman is yet to be identified.

Police said the church pastor reported they were in the church when the middle-aged woman collapsed.

She was rushed to Mbagathi Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police were later called to the hospital and scene where the incident happened for processing.
