Wetang'ula, Gideon Moi condole with Awori family after daughter dies

Leaders have mourned former Vice President Moody Awori's daughter Marya Elizabeth Adjibodou.

Adjibodou passed away on the evening of June  6.

National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula sent a message of condolences to the Awori family, friends and the Parliament fraternity.

He described Adjibodou as a committed and zealous person and one who had a deep sense of patriotism. 

She worked as a Principal Clerk Assistant I, in the Directorate of Legislative and Procedural Services in the Senate.

"I am deeply saddened to learn of the sudden demise of one of our staff Marya Elizabeth Adjibodou. We will miss her great depth of knowledge, positive orientation, sharp-wittedness and resilience," he said.

"Rest In Peace Maria."

Kanu chairman Gideon Moi eulogised Adjibodou as a diligent staffer as he condoled the former VP for his loss. 

"Indeed, no words can express the pain of losing a child. My thoughts and prayers are with Awori and his family during this difficult time," he said. 

"May they find solace in God and the cherished memories they shared as a family."
