EABL appoints John Musunga as Non-Executive Director in changes

Musunga will replace Dayalan Nayager who has resigned from the Board.

The East African Breweries PLC has announced changes to its Board of directors.

In the changes, John Musunga will come in as a Non-Executive Director effective July 1.

"The Board is pleased to announce the appointment of John Musunga as a Non-Executive Director in East African Breweries PLC with effect from July 1, 2023," Company Secretary Kathryne Maundu announced.

Musunga will replace Dayalan Nayager who has resigned from the Board.

Dalayan has served as vice chairperson of the Board since May 2022. He has also been a director since March 2021.

Musunga is currently CEO and Managing Director of Guinness Nigeria, a position he has held since October last year.

"He joined Diageo in March 2021 as Managing Director of Kenya Breweries Limited and previously worked at GlaxoSmithKline where he held several senior executive roles at the global and regional level."

Musunga has over 29 years of experience in strategy, management and commercial experience and has served as chairperson of the Kenya HIV/AIDS Business Council, Kenya Association of Pharmaceutical Industries and Board member of the Kenya Vision 2030.
