Ruto condoles with family of lawyer Kenneth Fraser

President William Ruto has sent a message of condolences to the family and legal fraternity following the death of Senior Counsel Kenneth Alison Fraser.

He was the Head of Litigation at Hamilton Harrison & Mathews since 1985.

Ruto noted that the deceased helped mentor many lawyers in the country.

He added that Fraser was the lead counsel in various landmark cases that shaped the legal practice in Kenya. 

"Our condolences to the family and legal fraternity in Kenya following the passing of Kenneth Alison Fraser SC, a legal practitioner with a career spanning over five decades and a senior partner at Dentons Hamilton Harrison & Mathews. Rest In Peace," he said. 

The legal firm said a condolence book will be opened on Friday.

Fraser will be laid to rest on Saturday at 10 am, at the Lang'ata Cemetery.

"A memorial service to commemorate his life will be held at a date that will be communicated in due course," the firm said in a statement.

Fraser was admitted as an Advocate of the High Court in 1970 and awarded the Senior Council title on December 11, 2012.

He took part in the development of practice directions for the conduct of cases in the Court of Appeal and the High Court's Commercial Division.
