Detectives at the Shakahola cult site have exhumed 12 more bodies, bringing the total number of deaths to 384.

This is the fourth phase of exhumation.

Coast Regional Commissioner Rhoda Onyancha said the number of persons rescued so far is 95.

The number of reported missing persons is 613.

Forensic detectives have collected 253 DNA samples.

She added that there have not been any new arrests. The number remains at 37.

The main suspect in the cult is preacher Paul Mackenzie of Good News International Ministries.

He is suspected to have brainwashed his followers into believing that if they fasted and died, they will meet Jesus Christ.
