Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei now says that Kenya Kwanza supporters will invade the homes of Azimio leader Raila Odinga and retired President Uhuru Kenyatta if the protests continue.

His remarks came after Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna said that from next week, the opposition protests will be upscaled to three days a week.

In a statement, Cherargei said the invasion will be in protest of the destruction of property witnessed by the protesters on Wednesday.

He insisted that this will stop their plans to sabotage the progress of President William Ruto's administration.

"Next week as Azimio-Oka/Tinga/Uhuru prepare for maandamanos. Us the silent majority shall have Peaceful sitting in/courtesy call at the homes/residences of Tinga/Uhuru from Karen -Bondo- Gatundu to protest their destruction of our properties and lives and to stop their nonsensical agenda of sabotaging government. Wacha katambe sasa!" Cherargei said.

On Thursday, Sifuna who appeared on Citizen TV said the protests will begin Monday and end on Wednesday.

He said they will only stop when President Ruto repeals the Finance Act, 2023.

"From next week, three days straight of Maandamano. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. Until William Ruto understands that people are suffering and repeals this law the same way he imposed it upon the people," Sifuna said.

On Wednesday protesters across the country took to the streets to express their dissatisfaction with the high cost of living.

During the demos, property of unknown value was destroyed, including national infrastructure.

At least nine deaths have been recorded from the chaos between Kenyans and the police.
