Raila Odinga's supporter Omosh Jakababa will today know whether he will be charged after DPP sought time to review evidence in incitement and terror-related accusations.

Police have alleged that Omondi is believed to be behind a Tiktok video where he alleged that Baba should go to Russia and procure guns for his supporters to invade the State House.

Investigating officer Inspector Nickson Kinyua on Monday informed the court that he had completed investigations and forwarded the file to the office of the director of criminal investigations.

The prosecution, however, told Milimani senior principal magistrate Martha Nanzushi that they were seeking three days to peruse the evidence to know if it was substantive to charge the suspect.

“Your honour, I confirm that we received the file today and have forwarded it to the DPP to review and know the type of charges the accused can prefer against the suspect. We are seeking an extension of three days to come back in court," the court was told.

Omosh through lawyer Shanice Mutheu opposed the addition of more days to detain him arguing that investigations were already complete.

Mutheu requested the court to grant Omosh a cash bail as the DPP reviews the evidence.

Magistrate Nanzushi agreed with the application and released him on a cash bail of Sh500,000.

Sharon Otieno murder trial

Sepereraly, the murder trial of Sharon Otieno proceeds today.

The prosecution is on its 28th witness a former MCA who assumed the role of a mediator between the late Sharon and former Migori Governor Okoth Obado following threats by the former of going public about their affair.

Sharon had demanded a Sh25 million house in Nairobi or Kisumu from Obado before she met her death in September 2018.

Ex-MCA Lawrence Mula told trial Judge Cecilia Githua that Sharon also wanted a good car equal to that of a governor's wife and Sh5 million for upkeep.

The court heard that the late was desirous of a glamorous lifestyle, especially after getting pregnant for Obado.

She could not go by road when attending her clinic rounds at Nairobi Hospital but always sought to go by plane.

Lawrence met Sharon at a hotel in Homabay while he was having tea.

Sharon approached Mula's table and introduced herself. She knew Mula was an MCA.

She approached him intending to ask for some financial assistance.

Mula told the court that Sharon wanted to go public regarding her affair with the former governor if that is what would make him assist her.

Expelled minors allowed to resume classes

The two were allegedly expelled after their father who is the school's PTA chair raised issues over the institution's regional managing director conduct Horace Mpanza.

But Mpanza has since filed a response in the case denying the accusations levelled by the minor's father and gone further to explain what transpired.
