Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Tuesday bashed the Cabinet Secretaries over keeping silent on their work.

Speaking in State House, the DP said that most CSs don't reveal the achievements of the government.

" We have done so much as an administration but the word is not out there. Kenyans don't know that we are working," Gachagua said.

The DP further said that the media has been trying to reach out to some of the CSs but they end not showing up for interviews.

"Some of these cabinet secretaries don't show up in interviews and we end up not having our achievements known by Kenyans,' Gachagua added.

Last week, the Senate was furious after three CSs failed to appear before the Senate.

The trio including Florence Bore (Labour), Alfred Mutua (Foreign Affairs) and Susan Nakhumicha (Health) were scheduled to appear before the Senate but failed.

Speaker of the Senate Amason Kingi maintained that the three CSs should respect the rules of the House.

Senate Majority leader Aaron Cheruiyot on his part said the three CSs should apologise to the House over their conduct.

"The day they eventually appear here, they should not be allowed to answer any question before they apologise for wasting our time. This is not proper for what is expected of a CS. The three CSs are grossly out of order, write to parliament in good time."
