Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has assured the ODM leader Raila Odinga of the government's commitment to addressing his grievances.

Speaking at a funds drive in Nandi County on Saturday, the DP said they have no problem ironing out some of the issues he will present to them as long as they fall within the confines of the law.

"He should come and say what he wants and my work is to make sure that no one will disturb the president," Gachagua said.

He added that they have ensured that there will be no anti-government protests in future in order to give Ruto a chance to deliver on his campaign promises.

Raila had said that moving forward, the coalition will adopt a new method of civil disobedience if the cost of living does not come down and electoral justice is not served.

He said in future, they will not call people to protests but they will ask them to stay indoors.

He said this was to ensure that no more Kenyan loses life as a result of protests.
