Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has told President William Ruto to focus on delivering his campaign promises to Kenyans and ignoring naysayers.

In a statement on Friday, Duale said Ruto was doing what was right by supporting investments.

"Mr President, Trade, Investment, and job creation plus Direct Foreign Investment is what you promised in reviving our economy after the dark years of Handshake," he said.

"You are on track and Kenyans will support you. Ignore the negative Forces," Duale added.

While Speaking in Kasarani earlier, President Ruto said it was very ungrateful for Kenya to vilify the people who are creating opportunities for us.

" Lets us have some decorum and respect ourselves as we demand respect from others," he said.

The President explained that Kenya was receiving billions from foreign countries who are bringing investments that create job opportunities.

"We have sh200 billion investment from the American government. We have huge investments from Germany and other countries and we must know what are our interests and we must secure those interests," Ruto added.

His statement came after Azimio leader Raila Odinga on Thursday fired back at US Ambassador Meg Whitman over her remarks on the August 2022 elections.

Raila said Whitman should keep off Kenyan affairs.

He said Kenya is not a US colony and should be left to handle its internal affairs.
