Kenya National Union of Teachers' first national vice chairperson Stanley Mutai has passed away.
Mutai died while undergoing treatment at the Nairobi Hospital.
Confirming his demise, Knut secretary general Collins Oyuu said Mutai has been hospitalised for the past two months.
Before his death, Mutai also served as the Kericho Branch executive secretary. He was elected in 2021.
His death comes barely two months after the death of the teachers' union's second vice chair John Wesonga who also passed away at a Nairobi hospital after a long illness.
