The Africa Climate Summit will enter its third and last day where there will be a summary of the proposals made in Nairobi, to make its way to COP28 which will take place in the United Arab Emirates from November 30.

The session will also focus on the future of climate action, now, and beyond.

President William Ruto will also make a high-level statement alongside Comoros President Azali Assoumani and African Union Commission Moussa Faki.

EAC heads extend regional force mandate in DRC by 90 days

The East African Community heads of state have resolved to extend the mandate of the East African Community Regional Force to stay in the Democratic Republic of Congo by three months.

The mandate of the regional force in the DRC was to end on Frida, September 8, 2023, was extended by three months until December 8, 2023.

500 African MPs convene to discuss climate change laws

More than 500 MPs from across Africa will on Wednesday convening at Parliament Buildings to discuss legislative interventions to mitigate effects of climate change.

The Africa Climate Change Parliamentary Dialogue shall take place at the National Assembly chambers.

Raila to decide the fate of ODM rebels

ODM party leader Raila Odinga will chair a National Executive Committee meeting to decide the fate of eight party renegade MPs.

ODM national chairman John Mbadi confirmed the meeting without giving much detail.

NEC will consider the report and adopt it before it is relayed to the National Governing Council (NGC), which is mandated to ratify such a heavy decision.

Judgment day for ex-NHIF boss in Sh96m graft case

An Anti-corruption court will on Wednesday deliver judgment in a case where former NHIF chief executive Richard Kerich is charged with conspiracy to defraud the fund of Sh96,565,125.

Kerich was charged alongside NHIF assistant manager David Chingi, Marwa Fadhili Chacha, Toddy Mohadana, Anthony Kalathir Chako and Clinic Healthcare in 2015.

Child trafficking case

A Nairobi court will today render its judgment on a child trafficking case against two former social workers of Mama Lucy Hospital.

The judgement will be delivered by Milimani senior principal magistrate Esther Kimilu.
