President William Ruto on Thursday cracked up a crowd in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania after confessing that he got scared when he heard Tanzania President Samia Suluhu speak about Azimio.

"Nimeskia kwa taarifaa yako umerudia Azimio, Azimio. Hawa watu walikuwa na Azimio. Sasa nikapata kidogo wasiwasi.. kwasababu kule kwetu, Azimio ni mambo mengine,"  he said.

This loosely translates to: I've heard in your report repeating Azimio, Azimio. These people had Azimio and I got worried because back home in Kenya, Azimio is a different issue.

"Azimio ni chama ya upinzani inafujo kweli.Lakini nimeelewa tena kumbe azimio inaweza kuwa mambo mazuri," he said.

This loosely translates to: Azimio is the Opposition party which has chaos. But I have understood that Azimio can have a good meaning.
