Saboti MP Caleb Amisi has expressed his happiness after leadership changes announced by the party.

The Saboti MP will be the new deputy organising secretary, replacing Zulekha Hassan.

"Thrilled to take on the role of National Deputy Organizing Secretary and National Executive Committee member in the ODM party. I'm committed to not only bolstering the party's influence on a national scale but also focusing on strengthening our presence at the grassroots level," he said.

"Empowering local communities and ensuring their voices are heard is pivotal for a vibrant democracy."

The changes were effected by the party's National Executive Council effectively replacing six former officials.

"The following are the changes made to the membership of the party’s NEC. This follows resignations/defections by the former holders of the positions," ODM said.

Kisii Governor Simba Arati will become the new National deputy chairperson of the party, replacing former Kisii county Woman representative Janet Ong'era who defected to UDA.

Catherine Omanyo will become the new deputy secretary general, replacing former Busia Woman representative Florence Mutua.

Fatuma Masito will take over as the deputy National Treasurer replacing Ogla Karani.

Migori Senator Eddie Oketch becomes the new secretary for Humanitarian and Disaster Management affairs for the party, a position previously held by Bob Njagi.

Elsie Muhanda will also replace Justus Kizito as the secretary for security.
