Governor Barasa revokes Lutomia's nomination as Trade CEC

He had been nominated to take the position previously held by DG Savula.

Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa has announced the revocation of Zacchaeus Muya Lutomia as the County Executive for Trade, Industrialisation and Tourism.

The revocation comes barely two days after he was picked to take up the position that was previously held by Kakamega Deputy Governor Ayub Savula.

"I have also nominated Zaccheaus Muya Lutomia as CEC-Trade, Industrialization and Tourism. He will be appointed to the position after vetting by the County Assembly," Barasa announced on Tuesday.

The post will now be taken up by Racheal Atamba who previously served as the CEC for ICT, E-Government and Communication.

He further announced a merger of the Finance, Budget, Economic Planning, and ICT, E-Government and Communication. The post will be held by CPA Livingstone Imbayi.

On Tuesday, Barasa handed his deputy Ayub Savula additional roles in his latest Cabinet reshuffle.

In the changes, he said the DG will now be tasked with co-ordinating all activities in Ministries and Departments.

Bonface Okoth took charge of the Education docket. He previously served as the County Secretary and Head of Public Service.

Godfrey Owori who previously served in Education will be the CEC for Public Service and Administration, while Laurence Omuhaka will take charge of the County Secretary and Head of Public Service office.
