Nairobi might soon be the headquarters for Grammy Africa Academy.

This follows President William Ruto's meeting with Grammy Global Venture CEO Harvey Mason Jr. and President Panos Panay.

Ruto met the academy's leadership on Saturday at their headquarters in Santa Monica, California.

The President rooted for the idea when he held talks with Mason Jr. and Panay.

Ruto is currently in the United States where he has held meeting with Key technology companies on possible working relations with Kenya.

Some of the key tech company leaders he has met include Chief Executive Officers Tim Cook (Apple), Patrick Gelsinger (Intel), Google’s Chief Financial Officer of Alphabet Ruth Porat, Brad Smith (Microsoft COO) and other executives from Microsoft, Nike, GAP and Levi Strauss in San Francisco.

The President invited the American technology companies to set up manufacturing operations and regional offices in Kenya.

He said Kenya has a conducive environment for investments in technology and manufacturing.
