Police officers on Thursday collaborated with Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) officials to seize second-generation alcoholic beverages and suspected counterfeit KRA stamps.

During the operation in Nyeri, authorities confiscated 740 cartons of branded drinks bearing fake KRA stamps.

As a result of the operation, one suspect was apprehended and subsequently arraigned in court.

The joint team conducting the operation also expressed their appreciation for the substantial support received from the community, emphasizing the role of community policing.

"We thank the public for their support through community policing," National Police Service said.
