National Dialogue Committee co-chairman Kimani Ichung'wah on Monday told members Eugene Wamalwa and Omar Hassan to cut down on their comments.

In a light moment, as they waited for the Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research Analysis to come for its submissions, Ichung'wah joked that the two didn't pay attention.

"For Eugene and Hassan Omar, it is not comments. Please keep your lecture brief," he said.

Ichung'wah's co-chairperson Kalonzo Musyoka then reminded him that all he had said had been captured on camera as they laughed it off.

"Chairman this is all on camera," Kalonzo said.

Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot jumped into the conversation adding that the National Assembly majority leader should rule that Omar and Wamalwa have exhausted their talking time for the day.

"Chair what you need to guide is that they have made their comments for the entire day, now they listen for the rest of the day," he said.

Ichung'wah then said:

"Eugene and Omar I need to agree with Senator Aaron you have spoken for the day. Bundle zenu zimeisha."

This came a few moments after Embu Governor Cecily Mbarire who is a member of the Nadco said that the committee was taking too much time seeking clarification on matters and this was slowing down the process.

On Monday, several groups were scheduled to make their submissions, marking the final day.

They include the IEBC Selection Panel, Parliamentary Service Commission, Homabay Interface Community Health Desk, former Attorney General Amos Wako, and Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research Analysis.

Senators Ledama Olekina (Narok), Enock Wambua (Kitui) and Tom Ojienda (Kisumu), Public Service Commission, Trans Nzoia County Communities’ Council, Information Communication Technology Association of Kenya and Council of Governors.

The committee signed its framework agreement on August 30, giving it 60 days to hold talks and submit a report to Parliament.
