A Kibera man accused of defiling his daughter for several months has been charged with incest.

PN was charged before Kibera Chief Magistrate Ann Mwangi where he denied the offence.

The accused person, the court heard, committed the offence on Diverse dates between January 1 and September 23 in the Silanga area in Kibera Sub-County within Nairobi County.

According to the court papers, the accused person would sexually molest the minor when her mother was away at work.

He was arrested after the teachers at her school noted that she looked withdrawn and she had dropped out of her studies.

The teachers also noted that the minor had lost her jovial moods and looked disturbed.

They later questioned her and she revealed how his father had been defiling her.

The matter was reported to the police and the accused person was arrested and arraigned in court.

He denied the charges and pleaded for a lenient bond term.

He told the court that the offence had been fabricated.

"My wife told me that I would pay for it, days later I was arrested and arraigned to the court today, I didn't commit the offence," he said.

He was released on Sh300,000 bond with no alternative cash bail.

The case will proceed later this month for pre-trials
