Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has heaped praises on singer Samuel Muchoki popularly known as Samidoh following the launch of his foundation.

According to Gachagua, Samidoh's story is one of resilience, hope and inspiration.

He said Samidoh continues to stand out and inspire all through his music, innovation and creativity.

"From a humble background to a super Maestro in the Music Industry, the story of Samuel Muchoki alias Samidoh is a beautiful one. It is a story of resilience, hope and an inspiration to not only budding artists but also to the youth, that they can make it in life, through hard work, focus and of course prayers.

"We celebrate him and are very proud of him," Gachagua said.

The DP was among the guests who attended the launch of 'The Samidoh Foundation' by the singer.

The foundation will help the vulnerable in society, the youth and in particular, the boychild.

"Giving back to society is a mark of honour and the right thing to do. Congratulations Samidoh from H.E President William Ruto and all of us," Gachagua added.

Gachagua was accompanied by Youth Affairs, Sports and the Arts CS Ababu Namwamba.

They were also joined by Principal Secretaries Alex Wachira (Energy) and Eng John Mbugua (Transport), Senators Betty Montet (Nominated), John Methu (Nyandarua), Karen Nyamu (Nominated), Wahome Wamatinga (Nyeri), Maureen Mutinda (Nominated) and Karungo Thangwa (Kiambu), Joseph Githuku (Lamu) and Mirajj Abdillahi (Nominated).

Woman Representatives Faith Gitau, (Nyandarua) Muthoni Marubu (Lamu), Betty Maina (Murang'a), Rahab Mukami (Nyeri) and Njeri Maina (Kirinyaga) were also present.

Others were Geoffrey Ruku of Mbeere North, Augustine Mwafrika (Roysambu), Benjamin Gathiru alias Mejja Donk (Embakasi Central) Eric Wa Mumbi (Mathira).
