President William Ruto will today join other African heads of state and government for the closure session of the Africa Fertiliser and Soil Health Summit.
The conference being held at KICC, started May 7 and comes to and today.
Over 4,000 participants are attending the meeting.
Ruto is expected to deliver a keynote address during the event.
It is expected that a 10-year Action Plan will be endorsed to help deliver concrete recommendations for steps to be taken by African leaders and stakeholders over the next 10 years.
The leaders will also sign the Nairobi Declaration, Soil Initiative for Africa (SIA) and Mechanism to finance the Action Plan (post-Summit implementation process).
South Sudan talks
President William Ruto will preside over the launch of South Sudan mediation talks.
The event is will be held at State House, Nairobi.
Linturi impeachment hearing
Agriculture cabinet secretary Mithika Linturi’s impeachment trial enters its second day today.
The hearing which officially commenced Wednesday is set to conclude Friday.
Machogu to visit Nairobi schools ahead of reopening
Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu is scheduled to tour six schools in Nairobi County.
He will assess the situation ahead of the planned reopening of the schools set for Monday.

Former Migori Governor Okoth Obado’s murder case is set to continue today as the investigating officer is cross-examined.
