Uganda President Yoweri Museveni is expected to embark on a State Visit to Kenya starting on Wednesday to Friday.

The visit comes a day after the conclusion of the Second Session of the Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC) between Uganda and Kenya which was held at the Sheraton Hotel in Kampala from May 12 to 14.

During the JMC, both nations committed to ensuring expeditious and full implementation of decisions reached during the sessions of other bilateral meetings.

They also welcomed a proposal to hold a joint technical committee meeting to address any trade and investment issues that may still be pending.

Ruto to preside over KDF recruits' pass-out parade

The Kenya Defence Forces will today hold a Recruits Pass out Parade at the Defence Forces Recruits Training School (DFRTS) in Uasin Gishu County.

The ceremony which will start at 7.30 am to 12 pm, marks the culmination of six months of intense training.

During the training, the recruits underwent rigorous evaluations, tests, and assessments in various military disciplines, both individually and in groups.

The ceremony will be presided over by President William Ruto.

Mama Rachel to attend IDOF 2024

First Lady Mama Rachel Ruto will grace the International Day of Families 2024 and launch the National Policy on Family Promotion and Protection at KICC

Also in attendance will be Labour and Social Protection Cabinet Secretary Florence Bore.
