Gachagua: Watch out! Opponents have schemed against Mt Kenya

The DP pleaded with leaders from the region to speak in one voice.

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Friday said that the Mt Kenya region should unite or risk being divided by opponents.

Gachagua was speaking at Mutonyora Comprehensive School's thanksgiving ceremony in Kinangop, Nyandaru county.

He said opponents are determined to divide the community and alleged that a scheme has been lodged towards that end.

The DP pleaded with leaders from the region to speak in one voice.

Gachagua urged the community in the larger Mt Kenya region not to allow what he termed as traitors to divide them.

"Don’t allow traitors to divide our community. Beware! I can see them plotting against us,"Gachagua said .

"I'm not too clever and neither am I a fool," he added.

The DP said that he feels for the generation to come, noting that they must be protected.

He was accompanied by Nyandarua Deputy Governor Mwangi Mathara, senator John Methu, Woman MP Faith Gitau, host MP Patrick Kwenya (Kinangop) and Naivasha MP Jayne Kihara.

Other MPs included Onesmus Ngogoyo (Kajiado North), Njuguna Kiaraho (Ol-Kalou), Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei, George Gachagua (Ndaragwa) and Samuel Parashina (Kajiado South) and a host of members of County Assembly led by Speaker Wachira Waiganjo among others .
