Masinde Muliro Stadium was abuzz with excitement as traditional Luhya songs lit up the crowd during the 61st Madaraka Day celebrations.

The vibrant performances by local musicians and cultural groups not only entertained but also invoked a deep sense of pride and unity among attendees.

Musicians Janerose Khaemba, Opeta wa Musungu are among those who performed.

Leaders and dignitaries in attendance, including local politicians and community figures, were seen joining in the festivities, dancing to the lively music.

President William Ruto, his deputy Rigathi Gachagua did not miss the opportunity.

Mumias East MP Peter Salasya and Bumula MP John Wamboka were also seen dancing from the stage.

The event not only honored Kenya’s journey to self-governance but also celebrated the cultural diversity that is the nation’s strength.

This year’s celebration was themed "Agriculture and Food Security”.
