Many motorists were stranded as the massive crowds occupied the highway, demanding that the government withdraw the bill.

They were heard singing anti-Ruto finance slogans.

Last week, the government dropped some of the controversial clauses in the bill, but the youth maintain they want the bill dropped completely.
